Andreas Seifert (born May 31, 1959, in Gelsenkirchen) is a German theater, film, and television actor. After completing his acting studies from 1982 to 1986 at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, Seifert began his stage career at the Staatstheater Stuttgart. There, he played lead roles in productions such as Linie 1 and Baal, among others. From 1987 onwards, he was engaged at the Schauspiel Frankfurt, where he appeared in productions such as Die Wupper, Michael Kramer, Die Reichsgründer, and Long Day's Journey into Night. In 1990, he played the Fool in King Lear alongside Marianne Hoppe. Subsequent theater engagements took him to venues including the Schauspiel Bonn and the Volkstheater Wien. Since 2007, Seifert has been a member of the ensemble at the Berliner Ensemble, where he has performed in numerous roles, including those of Hitler, Eichmann, and Veit Tümpel. During this time, he collaborated with directors such as Heiner Müller and Claus Peymann. In addition to his theater work, Seifert has appeared regularly before the camera since the 1990s. He played an early cinematic role as the Mars Troop Commander in (T)Raumschiff Surprise – Periode 1.
