Akeem van Flodrop (born July 14, 1991, in Würselen) is a German actor. Akeem van Flodrop grew up in North Rhine-Westphalia and developed an early interest in acting, driven in particular by questions regarding social representation in film and television. He first gained attention through roles in productions such as One Night Off, The Kids Turned Out Fine, and the series Wrong – unzensiert. Van Flodrop became known to a wider audience through the comedy series I Don’t Work Here, in which he portrayed the lead character, Dawit. The series humorously explores everyday racism and social tensions. For his performance, he was awarded the Blauer Panther – TV & Streaming Award in the "Best Actor" category in 2023. This was followed by further roles in feature films and television productions.
